Teaching dance, acting and singing is our passion! We feel very privileged teaching our LWD children and giving them the opportunity to learn and express themselves through the Arts. We offer a varied timetable (available from Miss Louise) of classes every Friday and Saturday, term time only at The Centre Mawsley. There are exam and performance opportunities with our yearly LWD showcases.
Private Singing Lessons
Does your child love singing and want to develop their singing ability and performance skills. If the answer is yes, why not consider private one to one singing tuition with our fabulous Miss Susie.
Miss Susie has a wealth of knowledge and experience from her career singing professionally on cruise ships to performing in a number of leading roles with local theatre companies – you may have seen her recently at the Lighthouse Theatre playing the iconic role of Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act!
We already have a number of children undertaking lessons, who have come on in leaps and bounds in their ability and confidence and parents have been really impressed with Miss Susie. Her teaching style is fun, energetic, encouraging and supporting and she always strives to get the best out of the children.
A typical class consists of a vocal warm up, focus on the techniques used to increase the vocal range, voice projection and diction, learning of the importance of breath and how to use it effectively and developing stage presence and performance skills. Children will learn a variety of songs from pop to musical theatre to assist with developing their vocal range.
As a parent I acknowledge the importance of you knowing what activities your child engages in. Parents are always invited to our ‘Watching Week’ at the end of term and are welcome to stay for the first session.
For all classes parents are expected to drop off and collect. Please speak with me for our uniform requirements.
We look forward to meeting you and having the pleasure of teaching your child.
